I. General information

Created on 7 November 1997 (registered as a new company on 4 December 1997), under the company name of Sprl Bureau d’études IRCO (IRCO Studies Bureau Sprl):

> expertise and legal advice in the areas of the environment, land management, agriculture and impact assessment studies, particularly with regard to (this list is not exhaustive):
> waste treatment and storage;
> agriculture;
> land management in terms of transport infrastructure and the management of rural sites and leisure facilities;
> industrial processes relating to energy and the transformation of substances into new products;
> purification and treatment of industrial water, urban residual water and leachate ;
> water disposal

Since 1th October 2009 M-Tech Integraal Milieumanagement has bought IRCO studies Bureau. The head office of M-Tech is situated in Brussels.

The General Director is L. Witters.

Ph. Hermand is the Technical and Commecial Director and E. Willems is the Administrative Director.

M-Tech Integraal Milieumanagement has three other subsidiaries: one in Gand and  two in Hasselt.

III. Registrations

In accordance with the Ministerial Order of 22 december 2008 and for a period of five years, IRCO Studies Bureau Sprl is registered as an author of environmental impact assessment studies for the Wallonia region in the following project categories:
> licences relating to agricultural activity ;
> industrial processes with regard to energy ;


IRCO Studies Bureau has also been designated as a biomethanation Facilitator as of 15 October 2001 and as a wood energy Facilitator in the business sector as of 1 January 2006 by MRW - DGTRE.
IRCO has been a member of EDORA (the Federation of electricity from renewable and alternative sources) since its inception and also participates in different working groups (e.g. network manager, certificates and biomass).
