Facilitator Wood - Energy - Businesses

Mission :
Since 1 January 2006, the IRCO Studies Bureau has been the designated Facilitator for wood energy in the business sector across the Wallonia region. The Bureau’s main mission since this date is to develop the use of wood and, where appropriate, other solid biocarbons, such as wood pellets, wood chippings, and cereal products as a source of energy for businesses, whilst ensuring economic profitability and respecting the environment.
The mission’s programme is divided into four main areas:
> development of the wood energy sector and its further development within industry;
> administrative and project support;
> information for project sponsors and industrial users;
> observing and participating in working or observation groups and involvement in the steering committee for “Wood Energy Plan and Rural Development”.
The wood energy Facilitator’s services are free of charge.
